Support
We need your help. Church communications won't improve because of a web site. It takes a community. It takes a conversation. It takes you.
So here are three ways you can support Church Marketing Sucks and our non-profit parent, the Center for Church Communication. Do something--don't just be a pew-warmer.
1. Get Involved
Join the conversation:
- Share your thoughts in the comments.
- Subscribe to one of our RSS feeds and keep up with the conversation.
- Spread the word and tell your friends.
- Sign up for one of our e-mail newsletters.
- Send us an e-mail.
- Become a guest blogger.
- Check out our list of volunteer needs.
- Drop by the Church Marketing Lab and offer some feedback or post your own work.
- Check out the other projects of the Center for Church Communication—the ones that don't involve a name that makes your grandmother blush.
2. Donate
Being a non-profit implies a certain lack of cash. We've never been and never will be about getting rich, but we do still have bills to pay. Your donations help us help the church. So we appreciate any donations, no matter the size.
Online donations through PayPal:
(credit cards, bank account transfers, etc.)
(Note: PayPal does take 2.9% of each transaction plus 30 cents. We mention this only because the transaction fees become a very high percentage of the total donation for small dollar amounts—for a $1 donation 33 cents goes to PayPal and we actually end up receiving only 66 cents. So as much as we want to encourage micro-donations, PayPal may not be the best vehicle.)
Old School Donations:

Checks can be made out to: Center for Church Communication.
All donations are tax deductible.
Amazon.com
Another way to donate without actually donating is by clicking on our links before making purchases through Amazon.com. We get a small referral fee when you click on our links and then buy anything at Amazon.com. Marketing books, Bibles, CDs—even iPods. It's a small cut, but every little bit counts. Check out our reviews category for loads of church marketing-related books.
Squidoo.com
You can also donate some or all of your Squidoo.com earnings. When you're editing your lens, look for payment options towards the bottom of the right sidebar. Choose to donate to a specific charity and look for "Center for Church Communication" in the drop down. Learn more about Squidoo.
3. Pray
While we're all about doing what works and utilizing the latest marketing techniques and fancy new technologies, we're also keenly aware that nothing happens without God. The church will never matter on its own.
So more than involvement, more than cash—this movement needs prayer:
- Pray that churches everywhere will communicate the truth of the Gospel clearly, creatively and effectively.
- Pray that designers, writers, programmers, pastors and church administrators will see the importance of communication.
- Pray for more than butts in pews—pray for changed lives.
- And if you can, pray for us. Pray that we'll have the ability to effectively serve churches and church communicators.
