Digital Church: Resources to Help You Make It Work

Digital Church: Resources to Help You Make It Work

July 2, 2018 by

This month on Courageous Storytellers, we’re tackling a ginormous topic: taking your church to the digital space. Most of you have been in that space for a long time because you have a website and a social media account or two. This month, we’re focused on three next-level opportunities to have an online presence: podcasts, video streaming, and church online.

If your church is already on the front edge of new technologies, you’ll find some helpful reminders and tips here. And if you’re feeling a bit like someone’s 94-year-old grandpa who’s still a little leery of his medic alert bracelet because technology is scary, we hope you’ll find these resources to be a gentle, you-can-do-it nudge toward new opportunities for ministry.

In addition to some stellar social graphics, here’s what’s waiting for you on the site this month:

  • Eight reasons to consider church online.
  • Tips for measuring the success of your online church presence.
  • How to use online church to grow your reach.
  • Five tips for improving your church online experience.
  • Live video solutions to consider.
  • Streaming do’s and don’ts.
  • How to include your online audience in sacraments like baptism and communion.
  • A step-by-step guide to sermon podcasting.
  • How to get a podcast up and running with very little budget.

Courageous Storytellers is absolutely packed with super-practical resources for church communicators who need help. Listen, we know there’s a lot of content available to you—and we also know the sheer volume of “help” can feel a bit suffocating. That’s why we choose one topic each month and offer easily digestible tips about that one topic. Of course, we also keep each month’s resources on the site for you to access at any time, regardless of when you begin your membership. Need help with your social strategy? We’ve got you covered. How about building a volunteer team? Yep. We have that, too. Oh, and what about branding and identity, email marketing, and leadership? Yes, yes, and yes. We even have tips for taking care of yourself. Learn more about membership today.
