60 Church Websites for Easter

60 Church Websites for Easter

April 4, 2017 by

Easter is a huge opportunity for churches, so you’d expect to see something about Easter on church websites. That’s not always the case (sigh). But these 60 churches put forth some effort to design a special Easter section of their website to give details and invite visitors.

Take a look and get some Easter inspiration, whether it’s for this year or next year. Church Easter websites don’t always stick around, so we’ve grabbed screenshots. But if you want to see anything more, you better take a look while they’re still here.

If you need more help with Easter or websites, our Courageous Storytellers Membership Site is full of exclusive resources.

6 Quick Easter Website Ideas

So what do all these church websites for Easter have in common? We found a few quick lessons:

  1. Put your Easter info front and center. This should be obvious, but it’s amazing how many churches don’t have easy to find Easter info on their sites (and it’s not just tiny churches either).
  2. Service times and directions. That Easter info visitors are looking for? Service times and directions.
  3. Give a reason to come. Why should visitors attend your Easter events? Give some reasons. In many cases, this is done thematically. Don’t just expect people to show up because it’s Easter.
  4. What to expect. Visitors want to know what to expect. Videos and photos are a great way to showcase what your church is actually like. Answering common questions is another way to put visitors at ease.
  5. Say hello, pastor. Like it or not, the pastor often determines whether or not visitors connect with your church. The pastor is the most visible personality and the one we hear from the most. A welcome video can be a great way for visitors to meet your pastor and allow your pastor’s friendly personality (we hope) to draw them in.
  6. Spread the word. A lot of church websites make it easy to invite friends for Easter.
