Go, Tell It on the Mountain

Vermont is regularly ranked as the least-churched, least-religious state in America. There is roughly one church for every 5,000 people. However, healthy churches are beginning to multiply throughout the state, debunking the long-standing “church planter’s graveyard” reputation.

We’ll be serving pastors like Randy Burns, in Bennington, Vt., who sees Jesus so radically changing the spiritual landscape of Vermont that the gospel will spread and renew all of New England. He feels like our team can give a shot in the arm to his church and other churches—relieving burdens while helping under-resourced churches better communicate Jesus to their communities.

How could you not get behind a vision like that?

Costs and Details

The trip fee is $500 and helps pay down general expenses—production/supply costs for the churches, lodging, ground transportation and meals (not airfare). However, this fee could be slightly lower because the final budget is determined by financial donations received between now and Feb. 1.

Do you have a rich aunt who can help us defray costs?

Once all applications have been processed, Creative Missions invitations and detailed trip information will be extended by Feb. 1. At that time you can choose to commit, and a deposit paid towards the participation fee will be due to hold your spot.

Keeping It Real

Each year, more applications are received than the 30 spaces available for invites. Please understand our main priority is serving the churches, and skill sets are matched to church needs. You are all so talented and awesome, but we are only able to bring roughly five people per skill set—design, video, web, social media/copy writing and sound/audio/weekend tech.

The Creative Missions leadership are actually discussing the possibility of adding a second trip every year to allow more folks to take part in the mission.

Whether or not you serve the Green Mountain State with Creative Missions in May, whatever you are good at, do it well for the glory of God, and do it somewhere strategic for the mission of God.

Happy applying!
