Quality Church Resources for Free (or Cheap)
(Filed under: Resources)The folks at Muddy River Media got in touch with us to let us know about their new and free church resource site. So we got to thinking, why not compile some other church resources? But Kent Shaffer of Church Relevance thought it faster. So here is his list of great free and paid church resources.
It's a great list, and I can't think of anything to add to it. Anyone else have some favorites?

Joshua,
Thanks for posting this! Last fall, SIM (Serving In Mission) produced a visual statement of faith called “We Believe.” It is available to preview on GodTube here:

I wanted to let everyone reading CMS that if you would like a hi-res digital copy to show at your church, just send me an email at international.communication@sim.org.
We want this video to be a blessing to the broader Christian community, so please take advantage of this FREE resource!

Hey just a quick note on another available resource. I couldn't find much available in the way of free motion backgrounds so I bought freemotionbackgrounds.com and made some of my own. They aren't amazing (video skills are not my forte =) but the're not awful and I update it fairly frequently... it's been live a couple of weeks and I've got 6 videos now.

Check out freeforchurches.com. It has links to free backgrounds, videos, software, etc. designed for churches.

Great list. Two other resources (both paid ones) I've used and would add:
GuestReflections.com - Mystery Worshipper program.
PerceptGroup.com/ - church-focused demographic reports.

Please...please...if you are going to use these don't use them like clipart. These resources should be the beginnings of a creation, not the creation.
If you grab on of these freebies, or a stock graphic for that matter, and simply put your logo on it you' fallen into the cookie cutter mold and into the trap of the new version of clipart.
