One Prayer
LifeChurch.tv announced yesterday a bold idea to bring churches together this summer around a series called One Prayer. It's a call to churches around the world to rally around a common experience. The premise, says founding pastor Craig Groeschel, is that, "If God would answer one prayer for the church at large, what would you pray?"
Aside from the spiritual implications, the genius of the idea is the invitation to any and all churches to be a part of creating the content. Craig shares specific instructions for how pastors can participate.
I love how LifeChurch.tv continues to enfranchise, energize and encourage churches to unify!

I do know Mark, but had not paid attention to his pattern of recent posts. Even more interesting is that he lives in D.C. and I live in LA--and we're both sitting in the same room.

We're thinking about scrapping what we had planned and joining in on this effort. I think the opportunities for impact are huge. Thanks for passing this along.

Can someone help me understand why Flamingo Road Church created a website (satanspeaks.com) for their Easter services? Does anyone else think this is unbiblical?

When I found out about this a few days ago, our Sr. Pastor and I discussed participating but concluded it was just too late. This would have been great but for a church like ours where we map out our entire year in January, we just couldn't make it happen.
It would have been a lot easier for us to participate if it had been announced months earlier than two months before the start. Maybe next year?

Susi ... saw the site (www.satanspeaks.com) -- doesn't look unblibical to me -- its a "CS Lewis" approach as found in "the Screwtape Letters (ultimately reversed/viral marketing)-- also watched the teachings on their church website - very very solid rebuttals to the website strategy... interesting and powerful. Looks like they;re doing some great things...
