Church Marketing Lab: Special Edition

It's that time again. We want to give you a glimpse of all the great material being posted over in the Church Marketing Lab. This week, however, there's a special twist. Be sure to check out the final sample to hear what's so special about this week. Here's a little of what we've seen:

2007_05_03bigfoot.jpg
A bulletin concept for an Urban Legend series.

2007_05_03doorhanger.jpg
A door hanger for a VBS and building dedication.

2007_05_03sketch.jpg
A sketch of a possible photograph to be used as a series graphic.

2007_05_03thesecret.jpg
A billboard for a series at Victory Church.

So you're probably thinking, "Joshua, I know these are some good designs, but why in the world does this merit a 'special edition' modifier?" Well, I had a first this past week. I was driving down I-85 to meet with Brad Abare, and I looked to my right and saw something that looked strangely familiar.

I went through the possibilities of why it could look familiar. I've seen that The Secret thing on TV, maybe I remember it from there. I've passed this place a hundred times, maybe I just recognize the billboard. No! Wait! That billboard is from the Church Marketing Lab!

It was certainly a first for me. I don't known if anyone else has ever come across a lab creation that made it into the world, but make sure you all keep your eyes open! This stuff really is helping the church matter.

You have great info about a church changing a name but how about implementation. How do you roll this out? How do you communicate it to people? Etc. Any suggestions and successful stories would be welcomed. Thanks!
