More Church Cartoons
Church Cartoons is another site that offers comics for church newsletters and publications.
Some may question the place of church humor in a church publication, but if it makes me laugh (or at least smile), it's got my vote. I especially like the Not So Good Samaritan about halfway down on this page.
You need to be careful that religious humor won't leave visitors scratching their heads, but if you've got that covered I see bigtime value in showing that your church has a sense of humor.

It is my experience that most humerous Christian cartoons usually end up being really cheesy...
you end up feeling like your reading something out of a laffy taffy wrapper.

A year ago, I took over the editorship of the paper for a church of about 140 people; and one of the first things I did was throw out all the canned humor files and invite reader contributions. In short order, I had more stuff than I'll ever be able to use. The contributor's name is bylined with whatever I do use, along with a source credit where it's available. (For that matter, all contributed articles are bylined unless anonymity has been requested.)
Result: a greater sense among the readers that this is "our newsletter." You don't need the net, you don't need a subscription service. Everyone in the pews and choir loft is a potential humor editor,
