CMS Goes Non-Profit

We're happy to announce that Church Marketing Sucks is now a non-profit. It's not much of a change since we've never made a profit, but now it's official. We're now a part of the non-profit Center for Church Communication, which is kind of an umbrella organization with the goal of helping the church matter.

This won't change what we do on the site and the helpful content you know and [hopefully] love, but it will change how we do business on the back end and the kinds of things we can do.

So welcome to the non-profit Church Marketing Sucks. Same great taste, but now it's tax-deductible.

I knew you all were connected, so this move does make sense.

Now, I may be wrong, but I thought CMS actually provided marketing and design for churches, but going to the website it doesn't look that way.

The honest truth is at first I say, oh...competition, etc. etc....but then I check myself and say the bigger the effort with the most players is great for the church.

Nice job on the pdf on CMS...great way to use the polls.

Greg, glad you're so excited. ;-)

Michael, I think you kept saying CMS when you meant to say CFCC. At any rate, CFCC used to provide marketing and design services, but now that we've gone non-profit we're not doing that anymore. So we're definitely not competition.

Yes, I did mean CFCC...I'd be intrested to know why you made the decision not to offer marketing or design services, maybe offline.

I am looking forward to seeing what this brings, love the blog, love what you are doing.

Maybe this means churchmarketingdoesntsuck.com will be online soon! :)
