Church Blogging Poll

Does your church or church leadership blog? pollLast week we asked what churches have jumped on the blog-wagon. 30% have given blogging a shot, and over 20% are still at it. But as expected, the vast majority haven't tried blogging.

This week with Christmas just around the corner we ask what you think of the Che Guevara Christmas ad.

I just helped a local church use blogging to update their news. It's so hard to pull them from the "technophobe" state into the realization that the instant messaging era expects you to update and respond on the fly.

I can name the amount of churches in our area (out of 50-ish) that would respond to an email within a week. I know this because I have beat my head on the computer many times wondering if anyone was home. I generally get the response: "you need to call." I generally respond: "you need to email." :)

We have tried to help, train, and equip them...but sadly, most don't see the value, and those that do are so busy it's not a priority.

Anywhoo...blogging, email...all that stuff gets left behind. God bless all of you who are letting your light shine in our new era.
