Worship House Media

Check out a new resource for creative churches: Worship House Media.

It's basically an iTunes for worship media products. You can purchase all kinds of resources, including software, video, motion graphics, still photos and editable files. A number of products are available ala carte or as part of a larger volume, so you can buy just what you need. They also offer some helpful reviews and articles.

I love the church sign countdown, though it'd be really cool if you could customize the text on the sign. And don't forget the freebie download on the home page.

I think this is a great start for churches, but I am cautious as it could also become the equivalent of a template site. Our message is the same but our audiences are all different and our marketing needs to reflect that.

But heck, much of the stuff is really great so maybe it works.

Some good stuff that I haven't seen before, but so much of it is stuff that is listed on the site that it comes from and has been around for a while.

I agree with mike's thoughts. If you can't produce your own videos, illustrations etc. then stuff like this is good. However, in my opinion, its always made me think of the "There's Hertz, then there's not exactly" kind of idea. So many of these illustrations are good, but they don't emphasize something the way that you want to, but since you can't get what you really want, you have to settle. To me, a sermon illustration needs to be dead on, not close to what you want to say.

Then again, I make postcards, so what the heck do I know. ;)
