2017 CFCC Annual Report

2017 CFCC Annual Report

February 15, 2018 by

Our nonprofit parent, the Center for Church Communication, has released its 2017 annual report.

Here’s a glimpse of the report with an update from Brad Abare:

A Letter From the Board Director

This collection of reflections is simply an attempt to memorialize a moment in time. Another year of God’s faithfulness as together we attempt our part in building his Church. What a privilege it is to come alongside the worn out, tired, lonely, and overworked leaders like you who communicate courageously to congregations and communities the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

Everything we do through the Center for Church Communication (CFCC) is about seeing more and more people saying, “That’s what church should be!” Not because of fancy graphics or fun branding, but because of the irresistible radiance that emanates from churches who communicate with vulnerability, clarity, and love.

I am so proud of the teams of people who have pitched in here and there to keep this fledgling organization progressing. The team of uncompensated and ill-compensated volunteers is a growing list 13 years and counting. From authors, artists, and activists to sponsors, donors, and board members, CFCC stands on the shoulders of giants.

Everything we do through the Center for Church Communication is about seeing more and more people saying, “That’s what church should be!”

This past year has been an extraordinary year of growth for Courageous Storytellers, our membership resource. Creative Missions marked seven years of mobilizing creative missionaries to serve under-resourced churches with ridiculous generosity. Church Marketing Sucks continues to synthesize knowledge and know-how for communicating better. Through The Intensive training events, many people were able to gain new confidence in leading their church’s communication.

The board of directors has many things in the works for 2018 and beyond and I can’t wait to share them with you in due time.

In the meantime, enjoy this report as together we celebrate another year of church communication.
