Easter Effort: First Year Communicator

Easter Effort: First Year Communicator

What’s your favorite part about celebrating Easter at your church?

The opportunity for evangelism and people coming to church.

Share one cool way your church is spreading the word about Easter this year:

We recorded parishioner stories and are encouraging people to share their own stories as well.

We are using a hashtag and hope to grab some Easter photos from the community too.

We’ve been trying to fill our blog with valuable content: blog posts about why we do the traditions we do, posts about people/stories, etc. (e.g. holy week explained, blessing of the baskets, tips for inviting someone).

We changed our bulletin design/layout which normally reflects lists of events to more of a magazine/story-telling model.

How do you keep your focus on the joy of Easter amid the stress of looming deadlines and long hours?

This is the first year I’ve really been working hard on communications and stuff so I’ll let you know on the other side of Easter.

I always love hearing what other churches are doing to better reach their congregation! The link for the “magazine/story telling-model” isn’t working. I’d love to see an example of the approach you’re taking to your bulletin.

    Thanks!
