Show Us Your Artwork

Show Us Your Artwork

June 2, 2011 by

Your turn!

A few weeks back we asked to see what you were doing for Easter and kicked off a new series called Show Us Your ____. We hope to make this a regular feature and get a consistent glimpse of what your church is doing.

This time around we want to see your artwork. What art graces the halls of your church? We want to see your murals, sculptures, stained glass, paintings—whatever you’ve got. We’re sure some churches are spartan spare, but maybe you’ve got something somewhere. Other churches are probably packed to the gills and you can’t turn around without spotting some work of religious art. So let’s share!

Here’s How It Works:

  1. Take a picture of any artwork at your church. It can be anything you consider to be artwork. Maybe it’s a sculpture or stained glass, or maybe it’s a dance during the worship service or an incredible bit of stage design that you call art.
  2. Share it. You can post pictures to our Church Marketing Sucks Facebook page or send ‘em to @cmsucks on Twitter (use your favorite image sharing service). We’ll collect all the pictures and share the artistic wealth of our churches.

We have a banner for the season, but most of our artwork is digital, appearing on screens.

Hey Dale, that’s cool. Snap a picture.

It can be digital artwork or permanent installations or architecture or whatever you consider artwork. We just want to see some art at your church!

We use our lobby as a gallery where we hang paintings done by people in the congregation.

Hey Jorge, we touched base over e-mail, but for the benefit of anyone reading here, the directions are up there. You can post pictures to our Facebook page or use your favorite Twitter image-sharing service to send ’em to our Twitter feed.
