We’re Looking for a Few Good Interns

June 28, 2006 by

Well, one intern actually, but we’ll take all the help we can get.

In addition, the Center for Church Communication, our non-profit parent, is also looking for graphic design, tech and coordinator volunteers. Check out the new CFCC volunteer listings if you’d like to help out.

The idea of getting help from interns and college students is a good one; however after reading through the list of postings, my first reaction was, “oh, this is no different than the typical church that doesn’t want to pay for services and instead gets a less than effective result that doesn’t last.”
Is it that difficult for CFCC to find the necessary revenues to pay for some of this? Maybe you should start a voluntary membership program. I’m sure many regular devotees to this blog would sign up. I probably would. :)

I applied for the internship and I do nothing but quality work. I don’t think CMS should become one of those sites who want to help churches but for a price… I think I would drop CMS for doing that.
